This editorial spreads for 032c magazine still amazes me whenever I look at it.
Could it be he is trying to convey that beautiful clothes can still look beautiful even while you are at your subconscious sleeping stage? Clang might be taking on a different angle perhaps as fashion has always been perceived to look good only on models or on the runway.
Or could it be he is trying to weave up dreams to make viewers have a different perspective on these clothes that might be unaffordable to some and at the same time serving as a reminder to keep their dreams alive, continue to work hard to earn more money or to slim down so they will be able to own these clothes then.
There are probably no answers but take some time out and ask yourself. you might just have the answer to it all.
Clang was one of the two winners of the Designer of The Year award from this year’s President Design Award. A few of his works will be around in Gwen Lee’s 2902 Gallery, Old School till I don’t know when. Go check it out!

This commissioned series was conceptualized to capture portraits of the couple against the spirit of the heartland. Specifically, the area chosen was within the Commonwealth proximity, the site of the couple’s new home. A huge part of why the photographs look the way they do is because I never really quite believed that wedding photography has to always be about the kisses and hugs and things like that. I always believed that there is always room for pensive, quiet moments like the ones you see.
