Mandelbrot said: ‘nomads by choice, pioneers by necessity.’
In this condition of nomadic survival my home is inevitably my body. With all the logical repercussions: ‘every philosophy must be portable’ and ‘whatever you do not need will kill you’ (respectively Paul Valéry and an old Tuareg proverb). I often imagine myself walking, with my backpack of responsibilities, shedding possible individual tears in the downpour of common regret. I believe that intelligent environments can only spring from intelligent spheres, it’s not a problem of architecture, it’s the craft of Living.
